About rooted & Restored Counseling

We believe you are the expert of your own life.

We strive to create a welcoming, nonjudgmental, and compassionate atmosphere.

Rebecca Bair (she/her) and Maggie Maley (she/her) opened Rooted & Restored Counseling in 2020 with the goal of creating a supportive environment both for our team and the community. We are humbled by the rapid growth of our practice and team as it has allowed us to reach more of our community than we could have imagined. Our previous experiences in the field were, oftentimes, in negative work environments that contributed to an unmanageable workload and eventual burnout. We aim to cultivate a supportive, collaborative, and connected culture at Rooted & Restored Counseling. Our work culture is driven by four guiding principals: connectedness, accessibility, flexibility, and transparency. We intend to uphold this culture by continuing to expand our team with professionals that share the same commitment to these values and our community.

We believe the best work is done when both clinicians and clients feel respected, empowered, and encouraged to be their most authentic selves. Our Rooted & Restored team has spent years honing their craft, deepening their understanding of their own experiences, and prioritizing their self-care and mental health. We recognize the importance of meeting clients where they are when they enter the therapy room in order to ensure clients feel comfortable dictating the pace of treatment based on their comfortability and access to emotional safety.

What it’s like to work with us

We will guide you throughout the entire intake process. When you complete the form on our website, Stephanie will reach out to you to gather your information and schedule a consultation call. During the call, she will gain a better understanding of your needs and preferences with treatment. She will use this information to schedule you with one of our therapists. If you have insurance, we will check your coverage and send you an email with your copay/coinsurance information as well as instructions on the required intake paperwork and directions to the office.

Lukas (he/him) is our billing specialist and will be available to assist with any insurance claim questions or concerns. He can be reached at lukas@rootedandrestored.org. Stephanie (she/her) is our intake specialist and will assist in scheduling your first appointment at Rooted & Restored. She can be reached at stephanie@rootedandrestored.org.

Our GUIDING PRINCIPLES

Connectedness

We believe connectedness is the foundation of any therapeutic relationship. Our therapists work hard to build rapport with clients from the first session. We offer group therapy as an additional opportunity to connect.

Accessibility

We aim to provide accessible care by accepting major insurance plans, working with clients to resolve any billing issues, minimizing our waitlist when possible, and responding promptly to client inquiries.

Flexibility

We understand that clients have commitments outside of prioritizing their mental health. Our team offers both in person and virtual therapy sessions seven days a week in order to allow for flexibility in the therapeutic process.

Transparency

We demonstrate transparency through report of any out of pocket expenses prior to session, resolution of any client concerns, disclosure of therapist specialties, and discussion of treatment goals.

an important note

Our support does not end in the therapy room.

We understand that you and your family may benefit from additional support and resources beyond individual therapy. Our team is eager to coordinate with other providers (including psychiatrists and physicians) in order to ensure collaborative and comprehensive treatment.
