Megan Roesch

LICENSED independent social worker; SUPERVISOR, she/her,

The foundation of my approach is customized treatment tailored specifically to each person, as each has a unique and important story to tell.

Do you find that mental health tends to rule your life? Do you feel like you have no control over your own thoughts and feelings? Maybe you find yourself struggling to get through the day or are terrified to communicate your own needs. Trauma has the ugly power to influence these aspects of daily living. If this resonates with you, let's talk! I have over 6 years of experience in supporting those living with the effects of traumatic events, difficult life transitions, ADHD, anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, and substance use.

I am eclectic in my approach and use a variety of modalities including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT), and more. I will collaborate with you to find the best approach to fit your individual needs and goals.

Thank you for considering me as part of your wellness journey! I hope to hear from you and learn more about how I can be the best mental health advocate for you.

TRAINING & EDUCATION

As an undergraduate student at the University of Dayton, I intended to pursue a degree in education. During student teaching, I began working with a student with undiagnosed ADHD and found an unexpected pull towards supporting individuals in mental health.  I changed my life path, pursued a Master’s in Social Work, and graduated in April 2018.

I have worked in a variety of settings including inpatient crisis stabilization, methadone assistance treatment clinics, and private practice. I began my role as an outpatient therapist at Rooted & Restored in October 2021. Since then, I have expanded my clinical trainings and expertise. In addition to offering individual therapy, I now serve as the Intern program supervisor.

I specialize in the below modalities:

  • Eye-Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR)

  • Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFS)

  • Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)

  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
